Post Graduate Diploma in Community Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Care

A specialized postgraduate programme designed to train community health professionals in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of common ear, nose, and throat disorders within community and primary healthcare settings in Nigeria.

This competency-based diploma provides essential skills in ENT assessment, instrumentation, and community-level interventions, focusing on prevalent conditions such as hearing loss, chronic sinusitis, tonsillitis, and voice disorders. Through a blend of theoretical instruction and practical hands-on training, participants learn to deliver accessible ENT services, conduct screenings, implement preventive programmes, and make appropriate referrals.

The programme prepares graduates to address the significant burden of ENT diseases in Nigeria, reduce preventable hearing and speech impairments, and improve quality of life through early detection and community-based management—strengthening primary healthcare delivery while meeting Mandatory Continuous Professional Development (MCPD) requirements for career advancement.
