Description:

An understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the Ear, Nose and Throat is a requisite for proper interpretation of diseases having otorhinolaryngeal manifestations. Such anatomic and physiologic knowledge is essential for the proper planning and safe execution of ENT examination, preventive ENT care and disease control.

Goal:

This course is designed to enable students acquire knowledge of the various components that make up structures and functions of the ENT and, to recognize structural malfunctioning of the ENT.

Objectives:

By the end of the course, the student should be able to:

1.0     Describe the structures of the Ear.

2.0     Describe the structures of the Nose.

3.0     Describe the structures of the Throat.

4.0      Demonstrate knowledge of physiology of the Ear.

5.0     Demonstrate knowledge of physiology of the Nose.

6.0   Demonstrate knowledge of physiology of the Throat.
