Description:

This course will give students in-depth knowledge of the immune system in relationship to vaccinology.

The immune system is an extremely complex inter-connected system, but understanding certain aspects involved in the process of inducing specific immunity through immunization in the form of immunization practice.

Goal:

The course will provide students with the basic understanding of the concepts of immunity and immunization.

Objectives:

At the end of the Course, the students should able to understand:

2.0  Classification of immunity

3.0  Classification of vaccines

4.0  Vaccine ingredients

5.0  Importance of immunization coverage

6.0  Current National Programme on Immunization (NPI) Schedules

7.0  Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFIs)
