Description:

The course describes communication pattern in disaster prone setting using appropriate humanitarian intonation and emergency short cut messages for community health practitioners to apply in handling emergency disaster issues.

Goal:

The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to  communicate in disaster prone setting using appropriate humanitarian  intonation on relevant disaster situation

Objectives:

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:

1.0  Discuss  the communication concept in Disaster response

2.0  Identify the mode of communications in Disaster response

3.0  Describe the use of Geographical Information system (GIS) in Disaster response
