The course  describes the  public health emergencies, their types and causes, also enable learners to manage health and social consequences of public health disasters 

Goal:

The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills on  public health approaches, in order  to manage causes and consequences of disaster on lives and properties,

Objectives:

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:

1.0  Describe  concept of Public Health Emergencies

2.0  Identify the Consequences of disaster on human population

3.0  Discuss the  components of public and community health emergencies

4.0 Set up surveillance system for emergency health care
