This course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, prevent, and manage malnutrition effectively.
Goal:
GOAL: is to create a comprehensive approach that encompasses prevention, early detection, assessment, treatment, education, and advocacy. This multifaceted approach is essential for reducing the burden of malnutrition and improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities worldwide.
Objectives:
By the end of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Define and classify malnutrition
2. Identify the causes and consequences of malnutrition
3. Conduct nutritional assessments using appropriate tools and techniques.
4. Analyse and understand nutritional requirements
5. Implement preventive strategies
