The reproductive system is the biological system made up of all anatomical organs involved in sexual reproduction which are essential in the liberation of the sex cells (ovum and spermatozoa) for subsequent fertilization and implantation through a series of hormonal influence.

Goal:

The course is designed to enable the learner to understand the endocrine functions of the reproductive organs and how they affect reproduction

Objectives:

By the end of the course, the student should be able to:

 

1.0   Discuss the process of gametogenesis

2.0   Describe Hormone production in male

3.0   Describe the menstrual cycle and hormone production in the female

4.0   Discuss the Process of Embryology

5.0   Describe the Physiology of Pregnancy
