A thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the eyes is a prerequisite for proper interpretation of diseases having ocular manifestations. Such anatomic and physiologic knowledge is essential for the proper planning and safe execution of ocular examination, ophthalmic dispensing, peri-operative eye care, preventive eye care and disease control.
This course is designed to enable students acquire knowledge of the various components that make up structures and functions of the eye and, to recognize structural malfunctioning of the eye.
